General Steps to Set Up a Device Online

2. Registering / Pairing a Device with Your TV

Examples: smartphone casting device or accessory.

(a) Smartphone casting/remote apps

  • Make sure your phone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi.
  • Open the TV brand’s app e.g., Samsung SmartThings, LG ThinQ, Google Home, Apple Home.
  • The app should detect your TV.
  • Select the TV → follow on-screen instructions to register it.

(b) Streaming devices Fire Stick, Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV

  • Plug the device into your TV’s HDMI.
  • Switch the TV input to that HDMI.
  • Follow on-screen instructions to connect it to Wi-Fi and sign in.
  • Many require you to register online by entering a code on a website e.g., roku.com/link.

(c) Bluetooth devices soundbar, headphones, controllers

  • On the TV, go to Settings > Bluetooth / Connections.
  • Put the device in pairing mode.
  • Select it on your TV to register/pair.

How to Set Up Your TV with a Streaming Account

1. Connect Your TV to the Internet

  • On your TV remote, press Settings or Menu.
  • Go to Network > Wi-Fi / Internet Settings.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network name (SSID).
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password.
  • Confirm connection you should see “Connected”.

2. Access the App Store on Your TV
